SUE WHITNEY - Moderator (Head, Product Strategy, Payments Canada):  

Sue Whitney is Head of Industry Relations for Payments Canada. She is responsible for direct engagement with all participants to shape modernization of the core clearing and settlement infrastructure. Sue is a 20 year veteran in the Canadian payments industry. After running her own consulting business, she led the design and launch of new retail payment solutions for Visa in Canada for more than eight years, including Visa Debit, Visa payWave, prepaid and Visa Checkout. Sue also launched new products and solutions for the Interac Network, including the development of its EMV capabilities. She has hands-on technology experience with a major Canadian fin tech company, optimizing software performance in fraud management and EMV processing. Sue also brings a unique perspective as a former regulator in payments, having held several executive roles in the Department of Finance in Ottawa

JUDE LECLERC (Canadian Head, Global Liquidity & Cash Management Products, HSBC):   

In her role, Jude is responsible for setting product direction and go-to-market strategies for GLCM’s suite of Payments, Cards, and Liquidity products.  

Jude has worked in the banking sector for 18 years in Canada and the United Kingdom (UK). For 10 years, Jude worked at the Bank of Canada and subsequently Payments Canada, the country’s clearing and settlement body, where she focussed on Payment Operations, Regulatory Policy and Government Relations. Upon her arrival in the UK, Jude joined HSBC’s GLCM Sales team. In 2014, Jude became the Global Business Manager for GLCM Financial Institutions Group (FIG), driving the formulation and execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring robust financial planning for the business, and centrally coordinating FIG GLCM’s global effort with respect to risk mitigating projects. After 7 years at HSBC’s global headquarters in the UK, Jude returned to Canada to lead HSBC’s Canadian GLCM Product team.

 

Jude is a graduate of the University of Ottawa (Canada) and holds both an Honours Degree in Communications and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA).


TODD ROBERTS (Partner, Strategy & Operations, Deloitte):  

Todd is a Partner in Deloitte’s Strategy & Operations practice.  He is responsible for leading Deloitte’s payments efforts across several key, cross-industry initiatives and clients.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Todd was the Senior Vice President of Enterprise Payments and Innovation at CIBC.  Prior to CIBC, Todd led the Corporate Strategy Practice at Deloitte and the North American Financial Services sector at Monitor Company.  Todd has served on the Boards of various payments companies and industry stakeholder groups.

MATT PARKER-JONES (Executive Director, Head of Treasury Services Canada + Head of Payables/Receivables Transformation, J.P. Morgan):  

Matthew serves as the Country Head for J.P. Morgan's Treasury Services business in Canada. In this capacity, Matthew is responsible for supporting the bank's global clients operating in Canada by providing seamless and innovative core cash management services.

Matthew also leads J.P. Morgan's North American Payables/Receivables Transformation team. This team is responsible for driving the bank's strategic payments agenda and supporting the organization's transformation toward a digital operating model.

Matthew represents J.P. Morgan on various industry associations and specialist groups. He serves as the bank's representative on Payments Canada's Member Advisory Council (MAC), supporting the Modernization of Canada's national payments infrastructure.
