Brenda Clark is Vice-President, Payments Innovation and Integration, within CIBC’s Retail & Business Banking Division.

Brenda has over 20 years of experience in payments at CIBC, working on various areas of the business, including leading large technology projects such as TSYS conversion, Enterprise conversion to Chip technology from mag stripe and VISA debit.

Leveraging her extensive experience in payments, Brenda implements new payment innovations on behalf of retail markets, and guides and integrates CIBC RBB’s payment strategy.

Currently, Brenda is the Executive Business Lead of the CIBC Mobile Payments Initiative which enabled the first commercially available mobile NFC payment in Canada.  In addition, Brenda was instrumental in leading the collaborative industry white paper on Mobile NFC payments to define the standards for these mobile payments in Canada.

Before working on large implementations, Brenda spent over 15 years in CIBC’s Card Product Division’s product management department.

Before working for CIBC, Brenda worked in packaged goods industry and in the market research field.

Brenda is CIBC’s representative on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Payments Association.
